I need a false/misleading photo published by a Local Guide removed.

A local guide (level 6) uploaded this photo to Maps that includes false and misleading allegations about the business located at this address. How do we get the photo removed? We clicked on the three dots in the upper left of the photo and reported a problem and violation of the Local Guides terms of service. Many Customers use Maps for directions…and we have to deal with questions about this photo when they arrive. The guy in the pic – his wife does not even work at STERIS. This pic was making the rounds on social platforms and this Local Guide for whatever reason uploaded it to our corporate address.

Help/advice would be appreciated. Google is a bit daunting…trying to figure out how to get help.

For non-critical/non-urgent spam reporting, you have done according to the recommended procedure via flagging within the Google Maps app.

For more critical/urgent spam reporting, you may follow the notes from this post here, ie, write a request here in LG Connect (without mentioning specifics on the spammer for privacy reasons), and tag 1 or 2 Google moderators to help. A Google moderator will contact you via private message for the details where relevant.
Specifically for this case, I am just tagging 2 of our Google Moderators to assist where possible. @GeorgesHR @DeniGu

Another route to take will be if you are the representative for the specific business/organization, and the business has been claimed and is managed by yourself in Google My Business (GMB), you can report directly to the GMB Forum link here.

Thanks, Stephen. One of our social team colleagues claimed the business a while back. I work in Corporate Communications at this company … and was asked by our leadership team to assist. I will pass your guidance along to them. I appreciate you tagging @GeorgesHR @DeniGu I will await a response from one of them…hoping they can assist! Thanks so much.

Hey @user_not_found ,

Thanks for reaching out.

Single photos should usually be reported the way you described, nevertheless I will contact you over a private message with more information.

On another note, I would like to remind you that participating on Connect with a business account is a violation of Local Guides Program Terms and Conditions. I would like to ask you to exit the program as soon as we get this resolved.

I have removed the photo from your post for privacy.

Thanks!
