So I am a level 7 guide and am very passionate about being accurate and effective when it come to providing reviews, photos, and edits. The other night when reviewing my edits I accidentally marked a thriving business as permanently closed. My edit it currently under review. It was an honest mistake but I don’t want it to have a negative impact on my local guide profile nor do I want to risk losing my local guide privileges.
Does anyone know how I can fix this or who I can contact to get help with this and hopefully have my edit cancelled? I love what I do and have been doing it for a long while. I wanna fix my mistake. Can anyone please help?
As I know, there is no option to undo an edit.
Possibly, such edits await scrutiny. Hope that the reviewer does not endorse the edit.
Meanwhile, you can use the send feedback option to report the wrong edit & enclose a screenshot of the same.
Thanks for letting us know about your mistake and don’t worry as everyone can make it wrong sometimes.
I would like to advise you that for future to make sure you check the information if a business really exists before reporting it as not existing.Your edit is under review now, but you can send a feedback about the place and include a screenshot. Please mention that you flagged the place as non-existent by mistake:
Thank you so much for you response! I did exactly as you suggested and am hoping for a response. I really enjoy and appreciate being a Google local guide and would hate to have any consequence in response to my mistake. Again, thank you so much! Have a great day!
You’re welcome! Please remember if you would like to contact someone directly, make sure you add a tag @before the username, so that the person you want to talk to can get a notification immediately.
