I’m a Master Chef #CommunityChefChallenge

Are you a Master Chef? Do you love to try new recipes? Have you recreated a dish from your favorite restaurant? Or, maybe, like me, have you discovered a new hobby during the pandemic? Well, the #CommunityChefChallenge is for you. As part of Community Live 2020, we are proposing a lot of fascinating challenges. Let’s get fun together.

Challenge:

Share your best home-cooked food in a Connect post. You need to include at least one photo of the dish, the recipe/instructions on making the dish, and why you think everyone should give it a try and make it themselves. Don’t copy and paste recipes from the internet. Instead, write it with your words and, most importantly, bring us your personal touch. Remember: we are committed to the “original content” guidelines! It means that the text and photos need to be yours.

Feel free to write your post in any language. Everyone can use our built-in Google Translate tool to read it. I wrote mine in Portuguese (VACA ATOLADA: Would you eat a cow that was bogged down? #CommunityChefChallenge)

Choose a creative text for your post and try to write some paragraphs. If you have recreated a dish from a restaurant, for example, you can add a link to the Google Map Location or your review. If you prefer to buy the ingredients in a particular place, you can do the same. Does this dish come from a specif region of your country? Feel free to share the google maps link in your post.

You can also tell us how your dish is important to your culture or how it brings memories from your family and friends. Be creative.

Do not worry if your dish is not “sophisticated.” To be honest, I prefer “simple” recipes. To inspire you, see some photos that I took from dishes that I prepared at home (yes, as a Local Guide, I always photograph before eating, even when I am not posting anywhere).

Hashtag:

Don’t let to use the hashtag #CommunityChefChallenge. So, everyone, we will be able to find similar submissions!

Deadline:

Post your tasty text by December 1st, 2020. We are looking forward to seeing what you’ll prepare.

I’m replicating an important note from Adrian: “This challenge is part of a series of challenges for the Community Live event! We’ve got a few to keep you busy and excited until Community Live begins!! It is entirely optional for Local Guides to participate in and is not part of the Community Live application process. Master chef, yeah yeah @AlexandreCampbell, great and delicious challenge!

Let me motivate folks, here few of my best home made receipts, in order from top:

  • Risotto ai frutti di mare (risotto with sea food, all fresh prepared by myself… very long preparation!)

  • Spaghetti alle vongole (spaghetti with fresh glams and parsley)

  • Paccheri al baccala (special type of pasta [paccheri] with codfish, cherry tomatoes, black olives and parsley)

Hey guys, sorry for the late reply (I’ve been extremely busy at work). I appreciate that you liked this challenge, and I hope that you can join us.

I totally agree with you, @Nyainurjanah , that we should avoid waste food. Sometimes I decide what my recipe will be after checking what I have in my fridge. And I love simple recipes. Actually, I avoid using a lot of ingredients because it can prevent you from tasting it well.

Cooking is an awesome hobby, @Velvel , but I’ve been taking it seriously. Maybe I can apply to the next MasterChef, LoL. I’m looking forward to seeing what you can prepare, @Lusianaa .

I’m sure that you will make it, @AdrianLunsong . Cooking is not so complicated.

Neither do I, @Sophia_Cambodia (besides I pretend that I am, Lol). It’ll be awesome if you can join us with a dish that you have cooked at home.

Awesome, @RosyKohli . I’m looking forward to reading your post. I’m sure that Indian food is one of the best in the world.

@jayasimha78 Thank you for being part of this challenge, I loved all dishes, but I wish I could eat the Tacos Indian Style now. Thank you very much for sharing.

@FalguniP , I am sure that you will show up with a delicious dish. Looking forward to it.

OMG, @LuigiZ , It’s about time to sleep here in Brazil, and I almost went to the kitchen to prepare pasta. But it would be so tasty as yours. I hope that I can visit you someday in Italy and you should definitely cook.

@SebaasC It looks tasty, my friend. I’m not allergic to gluten, but I’m allergic to lactose, and I know how it is important to try options for people who have dietary restrictions. Maybe you willwant to edit your text and include our hashtag to be part of our challenge.
