I love sharing restaurant reviews/photos because I absolutely "LOVE to EAT" on Google Maps

Being a Local Guide is rewarding in every way you look at it. I admit, I love to eat. So what better way to enjoy my meal outings than to share them with the world. It means a lot to me to share my photos and reviews of restaurants on google because google maps is a tool used by almost everyone these days. I am mesmerized with the food, architectural design & eclectic decorations, and the overall restaurant experience. I love when I go into a restaurant and order a daiquiri and I am brought a glass that is as big as my head. I also love it when there are fishing boats hanging from the ceilings or bicycles attached to the walls, or mariachi groups playing music at my table. All of that uniqueness about a restaurant grabs my attention and it makes it an more interesting place to spend my money. I also love to find restaurants that are hidden and take photos of the food, pictures of the inside and place them on the map because it helps local business owners grow like the picture of the fruit platter from Country Chic Chocolate Company. And one of my favorite things is to add a place to the map or be the first person to write a review.

I love sharing my opinion and now I have people who look at my reviews of restaurants before they go and it really makes me feel good.

I love to write reviews, especially when the service was exceptionally well and I want that employee(s) recognized for going above and beyond to make sure that my dining out experience was awesome. I also contribute reviews when the food, service and overall experience is bad as well. Therefore the restaurant can see the feedback and can address the issue and fix it.

Everyone has to eat to stay alive. I love it that there is an avenue that I can use to encourage people to try different foods while I do what I love best “eating.” I take photos of the entire restaurant, including the outside, their accessibility, and the availability of handicap parking and if there a ramp for wheelchairs. I have a friend who is handicap and I like to know before we go out that restaurants or events are wheelchair accessible for her. It saves her the uncomfortable feeling of not having to go places that do not accommodate her. I always strive to make her feel normal when we hang out and try to make her forget about her disability.

To be honest, I really love taking photos of everywhere I go. And I do it for the people who are home and can’t get to those places. Some people have a lot of physical illnesses that prevent them from exploring so I try to add as much as I can so that they can get a glimpse of whats out there. My dream is to travel the world, study, learn and experience different cultures. I may not have the finances to fulfill this dream, but the little small piece of the world I am apart of, I take pride in sharing it and with others. The substantial number of Local Guides we have working everyday to improve Google Maps makes it possible that we all can get a glimpse of the lives and different cultures and communities around the world. I am just glad that I am a part of something that is bigger than myself, and that is being apart of the Local Guide Community.
