Hi, Namaste (greetings in Hindi), I am Gregory Dias , I am 52 yrs old. I live in a place called Vasai or Bassein,
which is about 70 kms away from Mumbai (old name Bombay), in India.
This is my native home town, where several of my generations have lived here for years.
My favorite place is of course my hometown Vasai. You may ask why its so special for me?
Well this town is one of the oldest towns in this part of the World. It is full of greenery, it has traditional
villages, beautiful virgin beaches overseeing Arabian Sea, lakes, Temples, Mosques, Gurudwaras, Churches built more than 400 year ago. We have an ancient Fort built by the Portugese who ruled this place from 1534 to 1661 prior to the arrival of British colonial rule, Mountains on the eastern sides. It is rich in culture. Folk music, Agriculture, fishing, excellent local cuisine. The chirping of variety of birds and unbelievably starry nights. This is a perfect setting for nature lovers. The Peace loving people.
Being a Local guide my contribution helps people to decide where and what to choose. Since I have begun making contributions to the local community for some time now, I invite honest feedback of others.
