Hi, I am a photographer by hobby. I like to capture photos as soon as something pops in my head. Every cafe, restaurant, hotel, place etc. I visit I take a photograph and end up sharing on Google Maps. I love this process.
Why I love sharing photographs on Maps
I use Maps a lot to find info about places I am about to go. Most of my hangout plans became successful because of Google Maps. As they say, visuals are the attraction of brain. All of this became possible because somebody took photos and shared it with the world. Maps bound them with the location. So, if somebody can have better view of what that place is going to be, prior of visiting then what can be better than this. Travelers will be able to pick better options for accomodation, students will find hostels with good amenities, foodies will get the taste of finest meals they would be looking for. Hence, I share my experience in form of photos on Google Maps.
Get help, give help
Although it is not grammatically correct, but I believe in this. I have got a lot of help from Maps community. Trust me, it would be tough to make travel plans. Most of the people I know make their next trips by relying on Google Maps. I have myself reached to a lot of remote wedding destinations by just knowing that I have an app in my phone which will help me reaching there. And how that wedding venue would look like. It wouldn’t be easy to restaurants for the next outing. So, if I got help from the community, why not pay it back.
Do not forget reviews on photos
Along with photos, there come reviews. Thanks to Google’s amazing AI algorithms, every time I share photos maps app asks me some questions about that. It eventually helps maps improve its knowledge for that particular location. Be it some office, or some restaurant or hotel you can always give reviews to photos. Psst… these will help you gain some points to level up your score too 
Keep sharing, it helps others
It’s my advice to everyone that if you take photos on some location then select few of them to upload on Maps. Or not just photos but reviews, ratings too. Trust me there had been situations where some road was broken and somebody had marked that area as danger. So you can save some lives too.
