I love greeneries, sea, beaches, fishing, sailing, yachting, and ofcourse I appreciate remarkable restaurants with more than just hunger fillers, but those ones that offer notable cuisine & satisfying experience or what I like to call a memorable meal that you would love to share with your beloved ones.
In general, I love outdoors, exploring new places, things, seeing new faces, meeting new people and making new friends. I guess that is what made me an LG (Local Guide) level 7 in the first place.
Back at the old days, I f I remember correctly, it all started with just a good meal I loved to share with my wife, and friends. Strangely I could not help myself noticing (and because I am a tech-man in the first place) those top-down pop up messages on my mobile device (produced by google maps app) asking me to share several things of my preferences and experience I just had. Things like if I liked the food, if they had a rest room, what was the plate name, and if there is any pictures to share just about the whole experience.
I love to share, but to be honest at the beginning, I was not all about it. Sometimes – back at the beginning - I did not even had enough for it. Enough internet, time, or even simply click effort!
It was not until I stumbled onto my first map’s invalid location after all that troublesome time-wasting crowded driving to that wrong location. Only then I took my decision. I understood how important it is to share. Share power, the power of knowledge. I realized – only back at that specific moment – how important it is to have a good updated map available … for everyone!
If I made it to LG’s 2019 event, I promise you guys to add – at least - more five in-depth and from-within reviews for very exciting places in our beautiful Egypt. Those insights will be for 3 super greeneries and 2 sea, sailing and fishing places. I promise you to have lots of fish at the later ones ;). Stay tuned fellow LGs. Also, they say a picture is worth one hundred thousand word. Counting this, you will find millions of words in my post. Most likely as I have more exposure and learn some more tricks in the next event, I will try to post the story behind each of these pictures (hopefully not making an over commitment here J ).
After all, what I have learned so far have made me reconsider the whole Google maps sharing idea. I learned that, I am sharing on maps for:
- Making most of our surroundings,
- Making most of our time,
- Making most of our human relationships.
- Making most of our planet, or simply
- Making most of our lives!
Looking forward to meet up at the next Local Guides 2019 event!
