Dear All
I am very happy to post this
Whenever I visit a City I take snaps of the various streets of the city. I somehow feel that the various kinds of shops displaying an array of products, the vehicles plying, the pavement vendors their customers bargaining and the architecture of various buildings, various kinds of people milling around, some walking fast to their offices and appointments, some just strolling, some people huddled together talking in hushed tones.
I somehow feel all these things only add life to the city. i always like a busy street with various kinds of hawkers. I enjoy bargaining with the street hawkers and buy. By bargaining Maybe at times I would have paid more than what that item is worth. But still there is some pleasure in buying like that. I like to do lot of wIndow shopping also…
Just like that I roam around the cities and get my self familiarised with the local feel. I look out for eating what is unique about the place.
I also buy mementos what is unique. So I always capture the photos of the photos streets and I even take photos of all the shops and post in Google maps. That way it will serve as guidance for others to do shopping

Your post truly painted my impression red! I love it.
I do the same too. And when my hosts ask me how I would cope and find my way around, I would smile and tell them; “I am a Local Guide” with a little glint of pride shining in my eyes.
I don’t bargain with Street hawkers because Even I once hawked my wares and I know just how it feels, but Bargaining is in itself an ‘Art’, so, interesting to watch as long as you are not the one offering the wares being bargained for. @jagatji

Totally agree with you @jagatji
I also love to observe the busy cities and the crowd as an outsider. I feel like the time is still for me and it’s running fast for them.
I’m very bad at bargaining. In the beginning itself I’ll give up. Whatever the amount they say I’ll give it. But I do enjoy others bargaining. I like how that conversation flows until they come to an agreement.
Loved the post. Beautifully written. Thank you for sharing ji

@indahnuria really? I never knew you could ever be impressed by another color other than purple! But you right here are the life of the party and can paint in any color you so desire.

Oh… dear @jagatji
Very happy to see your post in LG Connect after a long break (After 2018…right?)…
Wish you all the best…
The lovely narration of a simple theme…
Natural street shots, depicting real life.
My pick of your shot is the first photo of the post.
Hello friend, @Ewaade_3A
Let me be honest - in my thirties, I used to bargain (only in Bangalore; because that is the way of business in some streets)
Nowadays, I request my drivers to keep some extra coins…
I cannot discard elderly people, especially the suffering ladies.
Dear @Dr_AlwyPaul , during travel, the memento shops are the only shops I visit.
As I can not stand with bargains, so I point out the item to my team members/drivers &
tell them to compensate properly - as you know at the tourist places of India,
the habit of the shop keepers are to ask for the sky.
When I see the item, I check with my team for the price they have paid…
If I am not happy, then I go back & give some extra amount to keep my conscience happy.
Thanks for your supports & comments Rosy Ji ( @RosyKohli ), Devi ( @Ddimitra ) & Indah ( @indahnuria )

Thanks @Ewaade_3A for giving information about this post of @jagatji
Your post about city life is well described and even I love window shopping. I don’t bargain much, but love shopping. I have heard about Vijayawada Kanakadurga Temple, Karthikeya Temple is new to me. Thanks for your wonderful post.
If you could give more details about that Temple and the city, it will be more informative.

Thanks for your reply
In fact, it is your write-up about the LG meet-up, that motivated me to contribute and post in Connect.
Well, happy to note that you are also interested in Painting the Town Red. Whichever town I visit early morning I get up and walk through various roads on my own get acclimatised and then come back.with lots of photos taken.
As you have mentioned, Yes Bargaining is an Art, Sometimes I have bought articles for as little as 50% of the
price quoted. Then just imagine what amount of money that guy would have made if I have bought it at the original price quoted.
Here I have to especially Thank our LG @TravellerG , who rang me up early in the morning and taught me how to make a post most attractive so that it will catch the attention of people. He is really great. He spent a lot of time with me patiently explaining.
