The local guide program means a lot to me, I came to know the program by accident, because of my good habit of taking photographs of almost everything that I’m interested, such as landscapes, animal, construction, shops etc. It was when I received a notification on my cellphone (not really sure though) to post my photo on the Google maps. and in doing so I realized that there was something interesting on Google maps, that were the profiles of local guides where they could see the places they visited and what they thought of those places and then I knew the program, since then I became very addicted if I may say this way, because I could mix my two passions that are taking pictures and exploring the world around me.
It has been great to know places and to be able to share with other people who also have the same interests as you, I’m sure my photos had a positive impact on other people, yes I think I could help some people with my photos and reviews and so on, other thing that I’m really sure I made an impact was adding places on the maps which somehow brought people together and help them to find good places to visit, be it a tourist spot or even the bakery next door, I find it very useful that these places are listed on the maps, and the benefits are for everyone whether for the owners of the places or even for the public generally.
So I can say with certainty that the local guides program is of great importance for our society, in some way we are contributing to the technological development of the world and if you think about it you will realize that it is fantastic, before I thought it was the algorithm of google that did all this, that added the places automatically, but now I know the truth, there are people like us the local guides, and we are here to make the google map more complete.
