Hi Local Guides! I’d love to let you know about what I like to share most on Google Maps and why.
I love to share photos the most, and they are all centered around the same rough theme: I want to help show people what places are really like. I want to show people what a specific menu item comes out looking like, how nice that event venue can look when it’s all decorated, what size beer samples that brewery sells, what this attraction is like in action, or even basic every day things like taking a photo of a sign in a grocery store that tells what stores they’ll price match from.
The reason I started sharing photos is that I look on Google Maps myself when I’m going to a new place, and I wanted to help people like me: trying to find out what places were like. But then when my views started racking up, it was so gratifying and exciting! It also meant that I try to put even more pictures up of places that I love, so that hopefully other people will fall in love with those places like I did - and they can stay in business.
