I love sharing the truth on Google Maps by posting accurate and reliable information. Whether it is giving an accurate description of a place or correcting misleading or outdated information, I love good clean data and knowing that the information I post in the system, accurately represents what is there in the real world.
My daily life would be so much more difficult without the guidance from Google maps. On more than one occasion Google Maps has come to my rescue while I was lost. This is why I really trust the data that I access through Maps!
It is a great displeasure to find incorrect data not only because it goes against my love of clean data but because it misguides me and it may have misguided other people.
I love travelling, outdoor activities and exploring new places. I love sharing these adventures on Google maps, as opposed to other forms of social media, because it can serve others who seek accurate information about the places on the map.
I also love sharing information about smaller local businesses. It really makes a difference in their growth as I have chosen to visit many smaller businesses because of Google Map’s suggestions. I endeavor to put as much fresh local businesses on the map as possible to help them grow.
I never knew there was such a vibrant community behind Google maps and Local Guides. This event brought Local Guides to my attention and the great community around it. The opportunity to attend Local Guides Connect would be such a fantastic opportunity and wonderful encouragement for me to get really actively involved in the Local Guide community. I can’t wait to start local guide activities such as hosting meet ups in my community and action all of the things I will learn in at connect 2019 !
