I love being a valuable source of information to my community. I love being able to help people. I love that I can connect with small businesses, and help them be shared to a larger audience. I’m really grateful that my opinion can exact positive change in my neighborhood, whether it’s helping somebody know that a business is wheelchair accessible, or helping a business owner get insight on his own business, so that he can make changes and increase customer-ship. I’m not only educating myself about my surroundings I’m helping others to learn as well. Being a local guide has also taught me to keep an eye out for information and knowing how to clearly and concisely share that. I’ve become a better photographer and I’ve honed my eye. I feel more connected with the world around me, and that’s really really cool.
