I am 77 years old… super senior in a great health. I like to help people…. particularly elderly. I have been skeptic about reliability/authenticity/effectiveness of reviews (all sites) on Internet. Now I prefer to write reviews on small businesses. Last year we moved from a large home to a very large retirement community that suggested three movers. We interviewed them at great length and pick one mover who claimed to specialize in moving seniors. After we moved we found this company was scamming seniors. I conforted the owner after verifying his scam from two different sources. He offered $400 if I do not write a review on Google ( I was surprised that he was afraid of negative review on Google). But I chose to write review on Google to help other seniors and it helped surprisingly lot. The largest retirement community in our area blacklisted them to ensure other seniors do not fall for this company. I felt really good that my review help. This started me writing reviews from senior perspectives. Same time our real-estate agent turned out to be outstanding… very helpful/considerate for seniors. He was outstanding. So I wrote a glowing review on that… Got great response. These two incidences motivated me to write more reviews. But need to learn from others how to be more effective in writing reviews so it helps more people.
