Baden is a picturesque and small town located about 30 km. from Vienna. You can get to Baden by tram from the Opera house in the center of Vienna.
A tram goes straight to the center of Baden. There you can walk around the city and visit the Rosarium Park
Here you can relax in the cool trees and eat ice cream. It will be enough for you to spend two hours.
Be sure to find «Beethoven Street» returning from the park to the center of Baden. There is a house where lived the composer Ludwig Van Beethoven. Today in this house is museum.
There are also Roman baths and the ruins of Roman fortresses in Baden. they were built in the middle of the third century.
You will need to get ready to walk from Baden for about 1.5 kilometers looking for the Aqueduct. Locals will show you the way well. From the Roman baths, you will need to move on the exit from Baden towards Heiligenkreuz.
Enjoy the beautiful view to the tops of the mountains where one of the Roman fortresses is located.
Return back to Baden by the same route to the tram stop. From here you can return to Vienna.
