Hello local guides I have completed my first one lakh photo views, I was informed about this through a Google email message which I am sharing with you.
You all can give me advice on how to increase my level and views.

Congratulations
Dear @Ranu5g
Congratulations on reaching 100,000 photo views on Google Maps.
Congratulations @Ranu5g
If you add photos to your comments, you will be recommended to people in the Explore section of Maps. The photo you took at the childrenâs park can also be seen in the Explore section of the maps. The photo you add when commenting on restaurants will appear there more often.
Congratulations .
I want to inform you that I have changed the category of your topic to Connections & celebrations - Local Guides Connect, where it fits better.
My tip is to remove all the duplicate photos.
âWhy should I do that?â You may want to ask
Because actually your level and views are altered by photos that are against the rules. It means that soon or later you will have to do choose between being banned or remove them, or most probably you will have to delete them to be readmitted.
In that moment, as you continue to add duplicates, the drop in points and views will be much bigger and painful than now
You are absolutely right. @ErmesT Photos are uploaded on Google Maps not just to show oneâs identity or photo, but to give information about places and to help others.
It is because of people like me who are working with the aim of social service that accurate and useful information is available on Google Maps.
It is important that the algorithm of Google Maps becomes more sensitive towards photos and if it considers a photo to be a duplicate, then it should inform the user about it. This will not waste the userâs time and internet and correct information will remain on Google Maps.
I completely understand your point and hope that Google Maps will pay attention to this. I well delete most popular photos . And normal photo I donât know when google remove in my gallery. Thanks you
Thanks for support @IgbinedionDan
Thanks for support @KamalHossenR
Thanks for support @TusharSuradkar
It is great that I upload photos of places in your review posts. Previously i used to upload all photos in âAdd Placeâ, but since i started uploading photos in reviews, people have started getting more help. This is really commendable work. Thanks for support
Fully agree @Ranu5g , and I am an ambassador of this option since 2017
However we are responsible of our contributions and we should maintain our account in a good status.
Here below a few examples of violations: On the right some example of "duplicate across locations. According to the Local Guides community policy - Google Maps Help âUsers who duplicate photos across locations or post images that infringe on copyrights will be removed from the programâ
On the left a few examples of photos posted more than once on the same place.
Regarding redundancy I already responded in your last post
Congratulations @Ranu5g
I keep my fingers crossed for you that the tips you receive will finally be useful to you, because less than a month ago you already received information about duplicate photos in this topic and you did nothing about it.
@ErmesT I removed duplicate photos from Google Maps. You are right that it is the work of Local Guides to take people to the right place. Local Guides have the best and most accurate information about that place.
Well done, @Ranu5g
In fact I can see that you removed one part of your duplicate photos. Some more is still present, also in more than one listing
I believe with a bit more effort you will be able to really cleanup all the duplicates, and to move to the next step: evaluating your remaining contributions and choose the ones that are completely useless.
There are videos that are really unwatchable, and should be reported as poor quality. Unfortunately it is not possible to see who gives a like on that videos, otherwise I would report their accounts.
Evaluating what to publish before posting it in Google Maps could help to avoid a lot of trouble
