Hi there,

I found tens of duplicated places in Riyadh where “Riyadh Season” is taking place. I tried to report merging them but a couple of them got denied and others are still pending. I need some help or advice on what should I do. I’ll list them in case it helps.

Hi @Akaharby

I’ve been in that situation also. And unfortunately it is not always easy to merge dublicate places. I got help from moderator @MortenSI on This issue. If you read that one, you will get some useful tips, I hope. But patience is a much needed ingredient to be successful in merging places.

It seems you’ve had luck getting rid of a couple of them.

Just to clarify, Is Riyadh Seasons a temporary event being arranged across Riyadh at all of these points of interest, of are they open all year?

Dear @MortenSI , I really appreciate your contributions.

First, Riyadh season is the first-ever festival in Saudi Arabia and it is the biggest in terms of size, duration and cost. Second, regarding your question, I already got in touch with the organizers and they have assured me that it will last for at least 4 months and it could be permanent, depends on the circumstances. The season will consist of 12 zones, and each zone will include tens of locations; therefore, I wanted everything looks perfect in Google Map because I know how fraustration it gets when it is chaos in terms of duplication, wrong info or unrelated\inappropriate photos.

The most important for the best of all, at least one main location for each main zone and attraction so we can control the new duplicated locations easily.
