I don't receive level points for creating blue lines (no maps listings)

When I look at my level points I have Photos 374

When I look at at approved photos I have Photos 1,379

The difference is photos used to create blue lines, which (as I understand) must be submitted without a maps listing. Seems only with maps listing I get points.

Is that just the way it is ?, or anything I can do to get points for my photos ?

You are correct @JGH34 , as you also explained in your post here: Points are given when we attach a photo to a Listing in Google Maps.

The number of approved photos you mention refers to the Street View app, of course.

We do not get points for everything we do in Google Maps. I have added more than 600 Km of connected photos and I do not expect points for this, but I think that in some way this can help Maps to improve and, as I am a Maps user, the benefit for me will be “a better app”
