Being based in Bucharest is not easy. Especially when you drive. That’s because the traffic in Bucharest is at its highest since several years and authorities are not keeping up with it. I remember one day when I left early from my workplace in order to catch a pharmacy that was open until 7 pm according to Google Maps. Leaving at 5 pm should have made me through the traffic, which it did, only to find out, when I reached the place, that in fact it was only open until 6 pm. It was 6:10. When you drive one hour at snail speed it’s not easy to accept the reality and you start blaming those that are not updating the timetables of the local businesses.
Later on, when I discovered that I could be a local guide myself, I tried to focus on checking facts and updating businesses opening times. And just because I learned my lesson, I always call the local business before I start the trip to their location. Just to make sure!
