I want to start contribting on here but I can’t post pictures from my phone in here…says the file is too small. Why? Help!

The maximum image size is 3072k

Hello @Jergie

We do face a problem of a file is too big. However, “file too small” hasn’t been reported anytime. I tried uploading a 32 Kb size file & could do so.
I suggest the following actions.

  1. Clear cookies and browser history.
  2. Restart the phone if necessary & try again.
    Nevertheless, if you face a “File size large” problem, you can either use Snapseed & export to a smaller sized file or crop the photo to meet the size requirement.

Hi @Jergie

If you upload a picture, you can turn it down the size photo you wanted to be posted on the connect, you can download additional applications to change the size of the image under 372 KB and then upload it.

Please let us know if you have tried already to restart your Google Maps app? Please also make sure you’re following these guidelines when uploading a photo on Connect and also check out these instructions:

  • Although photos are sometimes displayed as smaller thumbnails elsewhere in Connect, photos you add to post need to be 1000 pixels in width.

  • No single photo file may exceed 3,072KB (kilobytes) in file size. If it is larger than this, you will need to resize it.
