I cannot publish my meet-up twice, why?

Hello all friends here,

I hope you are well. I have few questions here regarding uploading meet-up. It is my first event so I feel very discouraged when I cannot register twice and not know exact reasons. Moreover, I feel a bit embarrassed as I have already invited guest speaker to share on that topic but delayed few times already because of the approval cannot be received.

  • I followed this **link **when registered and
  • I use Google Meet-up as the platform for the meeting.
  • I completed all questions in that link.

I did follow the link but two time already I have no idea why they were rejected? I feel like this is the tough exam that I could never pass.

I already felt bad because I cannot understand why it is not approved

  • Is it lack of originality? No, I use original photo and do it in PPT slides, then cut it as the photo. I don’t know what else I can do for the banner.
  • Is it a simple design? I myself prefer something very simple and I have no idea if Google would want to look at something very complicated?
  • Are there any other scenarios or reasons why it was not approved?

Thank you in advanced for your answers, very appreciated if anyone could help.

You should wait after the first submission @Sophia_Cambodia After 4-5 days of submission you can tag moderators if not approved. Normally we should not submit a second one without tagging any moderators about the first submission. It is my personal idea. I hope some moderator will give you the correct answer here. I would like to tag @ErmesT to have a look into this. Regards.

It might be the case @MukulR I should have informed them about my problems.

Meet-up or something like meeting online is way too technical for me so my friend @ChamnanMuon helped registered in the Google meet-up for me. He gave me the link after. Not sure it is where the issue is? What else can it be?

Since I am getting very busy with work, so now I feel very discouraged and don’t want to do it in a short time.

It is more complicated than I think I can do @MukulR

I submitted my first, after 72 hours, rejected, I edited my banner, kept slightly same title and posted again. 2nd rejected :disappointed:

As it was submitted by your friend, so you cannot say that everything was 100% OK. But you should get a response even it is rejected. Please wait until @ErmesT responds to this post. I think he will give us clear instructions about this. Thanks.

I can say he is our mentor because he is senior Google Local Guides here and has joined Connect Live for 3 consecutive years in US with Google Team. My idea came only after discussing with him the details that it is possible but maybe because the event creator name wasn’t mine? @MukulR I don’t really know.

Please don’t be disappointed and wait for some time. Someone will definitely come here to give you the right answer @Sophia_Cambodia Thanks.

@MukulR , thanks for tagging me

Looking at your description it seems you missed one step: The “URL of event invite”. In there you should link the post (invite) where to describe the event and collect the RSVP. According to your description you added directly the link to the Google Meet in there, and this is for sure the reason why your meet-up was rejected.

With @KarenVChin we had a meet-up a few days ago to clarify the procedure. Sharing directly your Google Meet link, without any RSVP, will expose you to a lot of risk of unwanted attendees. We will publish a recap soon, with the detailed procedure

This said, where to create the invite? On a Social media, or even in a Post in Local Guides Connect.

On the next step, share the link to the Invite post in this field: "

Thank you very much dear @ErmesT I will figure it out later about that URL in the invitation :slightly_smiling_face:
