I am Working on Google Road Mapper_ONE STEP TOWARD DIGITIZATION

Hi everyone :blush:

I’m very happy to inform all of you, I am using google Road mapper from last 3 days, I seen its working very effectively as well its very simple in use also easier for all, so you can try for google road mapper, when I started work on maps then I faced some difficulty, but guideline is very clear and easier for understanding, so using guideline I’m implementing a maps using road mapper.

Right now current available challenges in following country.

  • Ethiopia (East Africa)
  • India (South Asia)
  • Myanmar (Burma) (South East Asia)
  • Nigeria (West Africa)

Now I’m working on India (South Asia Road mapping) feeling very happy while working on road mapper, learning point of view all details available on site, like a how to identify roads, below are three important points for learning.

  • Drawing Roads
  • Identifying Roads
  • How your Drawing are verified.

You can see all question & answer by Mr Deepak Kumar & Naresh Darji , they given very clear & enthusiastic information on road mapper.

So as on date my total contribution is 62 KM and total 24 KM successfully approved by Road mapper.

I have also tried Roadmapper today an indeed it is a fun and addictive activity!

But I do wonder - are we digitizing roads here or actually training a Machine Learning algorithm to pick roads on satellite photos?

I kinda hope it is the latter - this would be so great if it can be done confidently automatically.

Anyone who knows more …
