Hi @user_not_found
We are all volunteers. We do what we do to help Maps Users and the community. If you get a perk then it’s a bonus, not a right.
There is no pattern, and there’s no fairness in who gets perks. It is just a marketing gimmick. Reaching a certain level does not get you any physical perks.
My motivation is the joy of knowing that I’m helping a lot of people and businesses. Also, making new friends here on Connect can be considered a great peek. I find it very rewarding being a Local Guide.
Hang in there, keep up the good work and maybe one day it’ll be your turn.
You can learn more about perks by reading: Questions about Local Guides perks also Why be a local guide? is worth a read.
And finally, make sure Rewards is selected in your email settings found here.
Cheers
Morten
Hello @user_not_found
A big congratulations to you on the achievement of the level 9 milestone on the maps. We could be level mate you know (Wink*). In addition to what Morten has said, even interactions here on connect, reading and responding to post, helping others on how to use connect, answering question when you can is rewarding. Therefore please take advantage of all those and enjoy it.
Meanwhile, I had a quick look on your profile and realised that it’s your first day out here. A warm and friendly welcome to you. Usually I do present A Welcome-to-Connect-Card to new users,to give them a quick run-down or orientation if you like of connect forum. You’ll find information and link to other posts that might be of interest to you as a local guide.
The one other link that’s not in it,is the monthly introduction link. It’s new every month, for October you’ll find it Here in this Link . Please take a moment to tell us about yourself and get to meet others on the forum as well. Hopefully you’ll keep contributing voluntarily without expecting rewards. Happy guiding and keep active.
Cheers
