I am unable to compose an Application post

@PaulPavlinovich @TraciC . The writing window is dancing and doesn’t follow my clicks. In order to save myself from trouble of losing data, I have prepared a post on my device before hand. Now I am trying to copy it on Connect in local stories. But I have trouble doing this. If I write directly on Connect board, will I remain comfortable or there would be issues? The post is long I can’t afford to lose data again and again. And if I take a break, how to be sure that my unfinished work will remain saved? Feeling terrible

@GhazalaShah The editor is working fine for me and no such issue has been reported yet.

What error are you facing when you are trying to paste the contact here?

Are you doing this from a mobile?

Can you share a screenshot here?

Thanks @SaifIS you asked. I am working from Android smartphone. I did not take any screen shots. The problem could be understood by making a video, not a still photo. Right now when I am replying to you, the editor window is cool and calm. This was not so, when I was trying to write the post for Connect live application last night. Cursor was jumping here and there etc. Also, there was lot of cache producing, I had to optimize the device many times during the process. Phone became hot.

  • One more important thing: now the app is saving the drafts! And it is a very comforting thing.

@SaifIS by the way, I completed my post last night and published it. It has some grammatical errors and it is not as good as I wanted it to be. But since I initiated the process late; it is good that I wrote one. Here goes the link, see it if you get time. Also send me the link to your post, I will see it. Link to my post is not looking live, maybe you guide me more

@GhazalaShah Yes, it is a bit difficult to post from mobile. This is why I always use a computer when posting on Connect.

Checking out your post now. My post Why I care about payment method availability

Saif, your post looks beautiful. I have bookmarked it. I will go to it after 30 April , hope you understood the late comer’s dilemma

@GhazalaShah are you using Mobile or desktop? Are you using the latest version of Chrome browser?

The only issue I experience on mobile is that it is hard to paste text into a post with a long press as Connect itself reacts to the long press quicker than Chrome does most of the time.

Chrome (Android Pie) keeps updating. Yes issue you just mentioned @PaulPavlinovich happens with me too. I think it is sensitive in order to bar unethical copyright violations . Thanks for your time to review my posts!

I suspect its just a bug in the javascript on the site when executing on mobile @GhazalaShah

Connect over the last six months has gotten much better on mobile to the point that it is quite usable now, I look forward to more improvements.

Bug :scream::open_mouth:! Yes, @PaulPavlinovich I many a times felt why Android has started behaving like Windows! I loved them so much, I purchased full and life time version of antivirus for my very expensive new laptop but… after one year it started misbehaving. Windows continued to remain a pain in neck… an ache. Now I haven’t even touched that lovely laptop since months . I am a nontechnical person, bugs and malware are like a nightmare for me… And those in windows incapacitated the whole system. Comparatively, Android has much better self healing approach.

Windows is generally ok @GhazalaShah but the wrong choice of anti malware software can really kill it. On my laptop which is an old slow one I only have windows defender because with anything else it becomes unusable, on my main machine where I edit photos and videos I run Malware Bytes.

Actually windows is among the crowned pioneers. Over the (competition less) years Windows had evolved into the best system, strong and versatile one. But the trouble lies in the fragility and tenderness of windows when comes the case of protection, maintenance and continued healing of it’s intricate and seasoned systems! There could have been a built-in mechanism for this. There were many other ways to make money than the torment of an external anti malware. We have issues in online purchases in our country, it needs improvements in terms of safety and other options. Thanks @PaulPavlinovich

BTW… can I expect some guidance on one more post by me? I am afraid, it may sound off the track, for the forum. That is:

Windows does have built in healing to some extent - you can restore the system to a previous known working point that will get rid of most things that go wrong @GhazalaShah
