Need advise, I am running out of storage 15 GB and i have reached level 5, but today I receive e-mail for level 2, 3, 4, 5 and congratulations e-mail.
I am unfortunately running out of storage on Google drive, as I have my personal family photos, with the amount of day and night work shouldered to contribute my photos are increased to another 3000 + recently, dont know how to keep them safe.
I respect GOOGLE policy, I just need to know, is there any way I can extend my storage few GB’s, That’s all.
regards,
Rajesh Kumar. K

Second, You need to determine what service is using storage most.
If Drive is using storage most, you need remove files to create free storage.
If Gmail is using storage most, you need remove files to create free storage also.
If Photo is using storage most, You have a option to reduce storage usage.
Hi @RajeshK_8 , I think that the file size is not so big for the photo. Could you check how many photos did you upload to Google Maps? You can get it from “Your contributions”on Google Maps.
I am running into the same issue as this other guy but I think he’s beating around the bush with the problem, which is this: Google promised us 100GB of free storage once we’d written a bunch of reviews about places on Google Maps/Local/whatever. I thought that was a pretty swell deal so I put some elbow grease into writing some quality reviews for Google Maps in return for all of the storage. A year or so goes by. Then all of a sudden I started getting warnings about how I’d run out of space on my Google account and I couldn’t receive emails!
Imagine the betrayal I felt after having done the work and had the reward yanked out of my hands. It reminds me of when the cddb database was sold to gracenote and all of our hard unpaid work for the greater good was put behind a paywall.
I honestly don’t know what has happened at Google in the last year. My business showed up at the top of search results for years and all of a sudden it’s only in organic results, and then a month later despite being level 6 I have only 15GB of free space. That’s a lot of space, don’t get me wrong. My issue is that Google sent me emails promising me stuff for some work. I did the work. Now Google has taken the stuff back. It’s probably violating a contract if you want to be technical about it. This Indian dude and myself just want our gigs back. I wasn’t even using them egregiously, I deleted 2 gigs to get back under 15. What I will tell you is that I no longer trust Google not to yank the rug out from under me. I’m not going to store anything on Google’s cloud again, and will start migrating away from Google to avoid this happening in the future. After all, who’s to say Google won’t say tomorrow that I only get 5GB?
