Hello. I am no longer able to be a Local Guide but am unable to find instructions on how to close that or end my participation. Please advise.

It is sad to hear you can no longer participate. If you simply wish to stop contributing then there is nothing further you need to do, but if you do want to leave the program then please visit https://www.google.com/localguides/optout.

As it can be a bit tricky to leave the program without some unwanted side-effects I have shared some tips on how best to leave the Local Guides Program here. It will help you understand the consequences and select which leave-method is best for you.

We are indeed sorry that you have to leave the Community.

However, what @Flash suggested is the correct answer to your question. That is why I have accepted their reply as a solution.

Please note that I will also edit the heading of your post to an easier recognizable one. This way when having the same question other Local Guides will be able to find the solution easier.
