Here is my list of Legendary NJ Food Destinations:

It is in the form of a Google Maps List (obviously), but let me know if you know of any other spots that should be added to the list. This is not an exact science, but here are some of my thoughts while making the list. If you think you know a place that would meet my standards, tell me about it and I can add it to the list.

  • I want places in the Garden State

  • I want places that have delicious food

  • I included places that are local hotspots

  • I want places with tons of good google reviews

  • I want places that are an experience and unique

  • I want places that capture the many facets of New Jersey

  • I want places with history, that have proved themselves year-over-year

I found it after arriving in Newark after more than 30 hours awake travelling from Australia and it was awesome.

@PaulPavlinovich That is a great looking place. It’s exactly the kind of place that deserves to be on this list. I will have to go check it out. It has been added to the list!

Only wish I could give you some more places @danbrowland but I was using Newark as a base to explore New York cheaply so did most of my eating over there.

I recently discovered Shanghai Dumpling in Edison, NJ. Delicious Shanghainese food prices reasonably. Check out the reviews. There’s always a crowd here. This is a place I can go when my wanderlust kicks in but I’m stuck in Central Jersey. A nice escape through food!

Aja, that does look like a pretty great spot. I added it to the list and I will have to check it out sometime soon.
