Being a Google local guide has energized me to document every place I go by capturing every moment that matters with the power of my Camera. This also motivates me to pin everyplace have been on the Map to assist others that might be going through difficult times in making decisions on where to explore or tour.
The Google local guide means so much to me as it enables me to see what my contributions mean to others and how people are finding it helpful.
One of the most important things is that I also use the review of other local guides when lodging to a hotel or going to an eatery which assists me to determine if the location suits my comfort need.
Sometimes when I go through the videos, photos, reviews or post by me and other local guides, it brings some smiles to my face as it enables me to reimagine the place have been before or I have not.
Seeing some post by some local guides about a location motivates me to visit that location and make my contribution or review.
I have seen the positive effect of putting a location/business on Google Map from the feedback I have received from some business owners; it does not only drive traffic to the business that is most times beneficial to the business or location, but it also educates, informs and serve as a form of advertisement for that business or location to thrive.
One of the most interesting things I have done as a local guide is capturing beautiful moments and helping others with it to explore their dream.
