Local Guides Mitrano,

My very first hosted meetup was at the Global Vipassana Pagoda, and now, after eight years, I wish to recreate those moments once again. I formally welcome you all to join me at the peaceful and famous Global Vipassana Pagoda in Borivali West, Mumbai.

I consider this meet-up as more than simply an opportunity

  1. To interact and update Google Maps
  2. To assess accessibility
  3. To enjoy the spiritual and relaxing environment of this lovely location

Date: Sunday, 31 May 2025
Time: 12:00 PM to 2:15 PM IST
Meetup Starting Point:
Gorai Khadi Entry Gate
(Please reach on time because meet-up time is very short )
Meetup Type: In-person
Spiritual Walk | Map Contributions & Photo Walk | Accessible Meetup
Virtual will depend on Network
If possible 2.05 pm to 2.15 pm

What to Expect:

  • Peaceful and accessible walk around the Global Vipassana Pagoda
  • Short group meditation session in a calm and inclusive space
  • Map updates with photos and reviews, including accessibility-focused contributions
  • Check and add info about wheelchair-friendly paths inside and around the Pagoda compound
  • Group photo to celebrate this peaceful moment & recreate Pagoda moments

Important Notes:

  • We have to take the ferry service from Gorai Khadi to reach the Pagoda
  • Summer days can be very hot. Wear modest clothing, carry water, your mobile phone, and a cap or scarf, Sun glasses ext. (Pagoda has Dresscode so wear descent)
  • No 360° camera or DSLR allowed inside the Pagoda area (If someone wishes to use one, they must take prior permission from Pagoda authorities. It is a lengthy process, so better to avoid it)
  • Follow all silent zone instructions respectfully
  • Couples are requested to explore individually (maintain respectful distance)
