Everyone has their own way of dealing with stress. For me, I find traveling or simple staycation nearby my town work best for me. I won’t hesitate to take a random casual leave for no good reason doing a staycation if needed.
It’s important to have a plan in order to choose the right place to stay. And most of the time I’d choose a budget hotel. Why? Because it’s cheap. I don’t want to end up being more stressed thinking about the bill.
However, few things are important to me: good location, cheap (of course), secure, homey, hygienic & clean, and having fast internet. That’s how I choose the places I want to sleep during traveling or staycation.
I often find budget hotel in great locations, secure and are still quite affordable, so it will help me save more money in my pocket to spend on other activities.
Sometimes I bring my own or rented a car during traveling, so I need to make sure the hotel has a safe parking lot. I also feel more secure if there’s a presence of surveillance cameras in public areas of the hotel such as lobbies or corridors.
I’m fully aware that when I choose a budget hotel to stay, I can’t expect more than what I’ve paid. You can’t ask for the best view from your windows, nice bathtub or even as simple as slippers. Not every budget hotel can provide those privileges, but you never know if good things might turn up in the super cheap range. I’ve been in a few budget hotels that offered complete services such as clean refrigerator, TV cable, hot water kettle, complimentary snacks, and even housekeeping services.
I’m thrilled when I find a room with a nice atmosphere, the bed is comfortable and the sheets and towels are clean, just a perfectly comforting hotel room, especially if it’s cheap. I’m eager to share not only good things, but also bad experiences and recommendations to others through Google Maps so people can learn from it and make good decisions. I will give an honest and accurate review of the hotel and I don’t want to miss to point out the small things. I believe that any essential information such as the availability of wheelchair access or whether the hotel has an elevator would be really helpful to uncover these details to share with others. Hence, I also want to be a good fact hunter.I have an interesting experience with Google Maps. One day, my friend read my reviews in Google Maps and tried to stay at the hotel I recommended. She called me after her stay, saying that she did not regret it at all, because her experiences was quite accurate with my descriptions.
It’s a great feeling helping others and it motivates me to continue contributing. Google Maps have made traveling and helping other people easier at the same time. You don’t have to be a Superman or Spiderman, but with honest reviews and nice pictures, you can help people find their way. Being a local guide is a really good opportunity to be a little hero for others.
