It is varying heavily - I am using a 100 MBps broadband & tried different DNS too.

As a fellow LG, Mast of us will agree with your points, LG @turbotapeworm

But, we have very little to help you.

If you feel any specific solution, kindly publish it in the Idea Board, we shall support you.

Sorry, unable to help you

Well.

Here is all fine.

But 5-6seconds more slow compare to previous speed.

I am using connect in google chrome, on the RedmiY3 smartphone.

I am using my personal data,

And my network is Vodafone.

Hence, I don’t have laptop, so I didn’t feel this problem.

@TravellerG

In past, you also have this problem, maybe it’s location issue. Or something that you still don’t catch it.

Kindly ask to fellow indian local guides,

Who use laptop for connect, and there are located to your area or city.

If there is all fine, then it’s becomes thinking topic for yourself.

And location.

@TravellerG - it’s not unbearable, just odd for a company like Google to run a noticeably slow website. It’s good to slow down now and again though in this busy world :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s noticeably slower tonight so I thought I’d feed it into Google’s own Page Speed Insights Tool to see what it had to say.

It scores incredibly poorly.

I don’t profess to know much about this (my days creating websites are very much in the dim and distant past) but there seems to be a lot of issues highlighted and some areas for improvement.

Surely whoever develops this page is already aware of how poorly it’s running though?

Sorry being late @turbotapeworm

Pathetic situation…

We can Only complain & wait - right…?

Hello Googlers and LG community,

I would like to share my idea with you.

Because Local Guides program is becoming more and more popular across the world :world_map: it is necessarily to optimalize this forum. One of the biggest problem, in my point of view, is initial loading time of this website. I am from Czechia (centra Europe) and in my case it takes more than 13 sec to full load this forum :astonished: . That’s high above average :disappointed: .
It seems that this forum is not using CDN for content delivery or similar technology.

Can you please look at this and take necessarily steps to improve loading speed for Czechia and other countries outside of USA?

I agree, I’m in america on a Motorola phone, not the best by far but this doesn’t seem like it should have a heavy load causing lag, it’s basically just a forum, yet I seem to get lot of lag. There has to be a simpler way to optimize performance here, maybe even allow certain features to be shut off for users by choice. I’m not techy by any means but this definitely seems far too laggy for what this is trying to be.

This is a known issue @Rohlik and is being worked on. Some improvements have been made and hopefully more to come.

This isn’t an idea, your post should really be in the How-To topic. @DeniGu can we move this to How-To please.

Paul

@PaulPavlinovich Thank you for that information.

I personally do not see any performance improvement in the last a couple of months and that’s why I created this idea. I also hope that more improvements will be done.

I have seen improvements everywhere except the home screen @Rohlik a few of the Connect moderators have been active in helping to test and attempt to narrow down the issue. Sometimes it seems to change depending on where you are in the world.

Thanks for caring about it and I imagine a solution will come along. If you spot anything that might contribute to finding a root cause feel free to tag a Googler and explain your thoughts in the How-To board.

Paul

Hi @Rohlik ,

Thanks for reaching out.

Please be informed that the relevant teams are informed and working on this.

To keep Connect organized and because this post is not an idea I will merge it to the thread where this is discussed and we’ll be updated once we have a solution.

I can confirm this behavior @Kamran_Paracha

Sometimes Connect is slow to open or load but this is a very long pending issue and not a recent one.

Hi @Kamran_Paracha

I also noticed increased respons times on Connect 2-3 weeks ago. I think it started as the team decided to add more mandatory content on the front page.

And today I’m considering making a screen cast just to illustrate how painfully slow Connect has become.

It is really bad now.

How long have you waited for the LG Connect application to open? 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds or even 35 seconds?

In cases, I push Local Guides Connect application in my phone then this application just opened for about 35 seconds. If this happens repeatedly, those who want to open will be lazy, even just reading (not giving kudos and comments) is lazy too. Eventhough, when I open google maps application, not even 5 seconds was opened.

So, is it recommended to open LG Connect via desktop? If using mobile phone or cellphone, how can I make LG Connect open faster?

Estimado @Irfan_dPriyanto este caso ya estĂĄ informado al equipo de Connect, :slightly_smiling_face:
