On 1 August 2020, my wife and I visited the Hrzánský Palace. It is up the hill overlooking the city, just outside the Prague Castle gates.
It isn’t what you would call a palace. It is more like a villa. It like many of the buildings in Prague, have a very long list of historical moments. It was the home of the first President of Czechoslovakia for two years. It is also used by the Prime Minister of Czech Republic and most recently by the current Prime Minister, Andrej Babiš, as part of the Covid-19 precautions.
It has been nicely restored and is decorated very nicely, although much of the furniture isn’t original.
