The length of the bridge is 705 meter and was Constructed in the year 1943.

I read that it was once named Rabindra Setu after the great Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore, who was the first Indian and Asian Nobel laureate.

yes it’s true and stilled called Rabindra setu but the bridge is popularly known as Howrah Bridge. It is also busiest bridge in india bearing a load of around 100,000 vehicles and over 150,000 pedestrians each day.
