Helpful votes (57) is when someone likes your review.

Long reviews requires 200 characters.

Only 21 of your 169 reviews are public.

Hidden reviews are not counted got your badges.

Google has automatic filters that hide your reviews so only you can see them. This can happen when some of your reviews violate the review guidelines.

Read about typical review guideline violations here. And please see my latest post called 4 Tips on writing better reviews.

If you are on a Desktop use this link to Count your hidden contributions. From a mobile device use this link.

If you want to identify which of your reviews are hidden check this post.

Please use the form called Account investigation for contributions not visible on Google Maps if you believe that some of your contributions have been wrongfully unpublished. Keep in mind, it takes several weeks for the check to be done, and you will not be notified about the result, so I suggest you check the status of your reviews once a week or so.

Best of luck
Morten

Hello @user_not_found ,

Good that you have asked this question.

Please follow as suggested by @MortenCopenhagen about the helpfulness and it is not the votes.

Though you have 21 reviews as public but all of them are very short like ‘Nice’, ‘Good’, ‘Nice Place’, ‘This is real Place’ etc. with some emojis  . Such reviews do not count for helpfulness. Rather as a Local Guide either such reviews should be avoided or at least minimized. In your case all of them are like that.

Request you to please revise your review with some impactful elaboration. You are there.

Keep building informed community stronger :muscle: together.

Hello @user_not_found ,

As a first step I am assuming that you have already gone through the rules and policies related to High Quality Reviews & Photos and Prohibited and restricted content. If not, please visit/re-visit.

Secondly, elaborate your existing reviews with your experience of the POI for which you are writing reviews, their offerings, about the services, ambience, pricing, special features, points of attractions etc. depending on what kind of place is this.

Thirdly, I must mention here that while doing so even your existing 21 public reviews will go private immediately.

But nothing to worry, you can appeal for the account investigation for these reviews along with the earlier hidden reviews.

So, once you validate reviews contents as per the above policies and find them suitable for acceptance/approval to be made as public, you must fill out Account Investigation Form for the account investigation.

After filling out this Account Investigation Form I request you to wait for some more time for Google to take action as they have huge number of requests piled up.

I am confident that after investigation, the eligible reviews of yours will get public. You will not get any confirmation notification or email from Google about this. You just need to wait and watch.

And, once your reviews which are of 200 or more characters get approved and made public automatically you will get the desired badge.

Keep building informed community stronger :muscle: together.

Hello fellow Local Guide @user_not_found , Iet me share with you a little different on the marked points between the two screenshots.

Helpful votes

Whenever someone likes you review, it’s more helpful to that person and every like counts as a vote under the “reviews, helpful votes section” in Google Maps.

Under the Novice Reviewer badge, helpful votes (likes) are categorised under “impacts”. Both numbers may be slightly different due to technical delays but they may (not) become similar later.

Helpfulness

Every review that you write in Google Maps and is 200 characters and above is marked as “helpfulness” under the Novice Reviewer badge.

Thank you for contributing to Google Maps, hope this information has been helpful to you.

@user_not_found If you read the requirement, it says to write a review with over 200 characters. I gave your profile a quick look and almost all of your reviews are one liners and most are just ‘Nice’. This is NOT a good example on how to leave a review on Maps. They also don’t fulfill the requirements of ‘at least 200 characters’.

When you write a review, try to describe your experience. If it’s a restaurant, talk about the taste of the food, the price, the service, the decoration of the room. Tell a story.

You can read the article below on suggestions on how to leave high quality contributions

After reading the article and understanding it, feel free to edit your current reviews, and use it as a guidance for your future reviews.

Hello @user_not_found

I realised that this the 2nd time you are writing a post on this same issue am I correct? The last one you wrote :point_right:t3: Here on this inkalso got good responses from others.

Just to let you know that I’ll merge both posts together since it’s same topic and issue. Please feel free to write further comments on the same post rather than writing a new one. Just to keep connect tidy and organised.

I wonder is @user_not_found referring to your CM badge?
