While using Local Guides Connect, I see that the How-tos section in Home page of Connect shows twice the time. I checked in PC also and it shows twice in PC too. Please check the below and I thought to post here so that it could be corrected if required. Thanks.
I have cleared the cache and it’s still showing me two sections. Yes, the photo was taken in Mobile device viewed with Desktop mode. I now checked in PC too as well as in Mobile by viewing in Mobile mode. It’s showing twice for me.
Thanks for your guidelines and tagging moderators. I have cleared cache and still the issue persists. I have around 40 tabs regarding Local Guides Connect posts to check and reply and because of it I am afraid I can’t clear the chrome tabs in my mobile. Appreciate your suggestions. Thanks again.
I find even on the phone you are browsing the connect site through chrome in a desktop mode. That’s surprising. The display must be big enough not to give any eye strain.
Further, I find the order of the sections & even the content is something different than the one I see on my desktop as well as on the phone.
I suggest you following actions. Clear the cookies & browsing history. Ensure that the latest version of chrome is running on your PC as well as on the phone.
Disable all a) Add-ons, b) VPN service c) AV services d) Ad blockers e) Chrome extensions f) Clean up apps running in the background & then open the home page of connect site & see whether that has corrected the error. Later on you can trouble shoot the exact cause of the error by enabling the services one by one.
I updated the Chrome app in my mobile and still the issue existed and since it seems I am only having this issue, I went to My Settings page and unchecked How-tos board from home page and rechecked again and when came back to homepage, it became fine now. How-tos board is showing only once in my mobile(both mobile view and PC view mode) as well as in my PC.
Thank you for your help, @C_T . The issue is resolved now by going to My Settings page, and unchecking How tos board from Home page and rechecking again.
Hi @SalmaanN it is interesting to see how you managed to solve this issue. I would like to know what triggered this or it just appeared without you doing anything unusual on your settings? I am asking because from what others suggested as our usual attempts towards this kind of problems did not work here. Cheers!
I often go through My Settings page and didn’t remember specific recent change, @Raphael-Mahumane . My recent changes are in My subscriptions page as I remember. I think some settings changes which I have done recently could have triggered this issue.
