When I want to zoom in to see details on a picture posted here on Local Guides Connect I’m having trouble. Clicking on the pic doesn’t help. Open in new tab does not help. I use chrome on my android phone. When using desktop there is no problem.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

I have also faced these issue with many times but I have a solution which you can try and see.
And that is,
Click on the LOCAL GUIDE url and see if there is Lite Mode on. Then Please reload the URL in Original and I hope It may Work for you.

Since you have offered this post in “How-tos,” I am suggesting a solution.
Otherwise, I find your problem to be fit for placing in idea exchange to achieve a more effective resolution.
To enable enlargement, launch the “Connect” site in a browser different than Chrome (I prefer Firefox).
Next, open the desired post.
Now click on:- “Request a desktop site,” and then click on the picture.
Turn the handset to examine the photo in landscape mode. Wow, the download button becomes visible promptly.
Download the picture and then enlarge as much as desired, by the pinch action!
To achieve the same outcome in chrome, you may have to disable the default “Connect” app.

Thanks a million. I have marked your post as the solution. I never liked the Connect “fake” app so it is gone for good. So staying in Chrome and turning on Desttop view + download (again) did the trick. Wonderful.
It is not elegant, but considering I very seldom need it I will not propose an improvement to this under Idea Exchange. You could certainly argue it should be done.
