How to write a Detailed Review of Places on Google Maps.
One can use Google maps not only to search for directions to reached their destinations but also can become a part of Google maps local guide programm and helps other by writing reviews of places one visits.

I’ve been a local guide since 2017 .
I’ve been contributing to Google Maps and helping people by writing detailed reviews of places.
Writing a review of places seems easy,but it takes more than it seems.
A detailed and effective review needs several key points to be considered.
Key points to include for writing a detailed Review-
LOCATION
Although the maps directions take you to the place location but sometimes it becomes hard to spot the place ,so always remember to add “Easy to spot” or exact location describing where the place is.
NEARBY LANDMARKS
Describing the nearby landmarks to the place, helps people to get to the destination easily.As sometimes the location marker of the places on maps are not exact so providing the nearby landmarks helps .
AMBIENCE
The attractive and appealing factor of places like restaurant, Shopping malls, movie theatre, shops,etc. Is the ambience/environment/interiors of the place.
so make it a point to write about the ambience of the places and describe it a little.
SERVICES
people look for the quality of services that has been rendered at the places.
share your experience of services provided at the place, whether satisfactory or unsatisfactory.
its very helpful while writing a review of hotels, restaurant, service centres,shops,etc.
PRICE
Everyone tend to look for a budget before they’re going out or visiting place,so to help people choose places to visit based on their Pockets,include whether the place is expensive, moderate,economic or pocket friendly.
Also include story of your visit with the No. people visited and whats the per/head cost incurred.
PRODUCTS
if your writing a review of shops, shopping malls, supermarket etc.
include the Brands&product range that is available at the outlet.
Also share your feedback on quality of the product you’ve purchased.
STAFF
Employees, Salesperson, representatives.
staff is most important factor of review as it determines the quality of service at the place.
Reviewing the Staff efficiency whether they are trained, untrained or professional, unprofessional.
The behaviour of the staff, whether the people working at the place understand the customers need and provide solutions accordingly or enforce their own ideas.
FOOD& BEVERAGES
the keypoints that needs to be included in review of restaurants,hotels, street joints,cafe,bars,food courts.
Express the quality of food- whether the dishes are tasty, delicious, scrumptious, delightful, mouthwatering or not.
Quantity of food - the quantity of the food is sufficient, bon appetite or not.
state about the speciality dishes of the places.
The way the dishes are being presented & served.
THEME
most of the places are theme based ,so do describe the theme in the review ,as people tends to love to know the unique concepts and themes which attracts them to visit the place.
GENTRY
Crowd at the place,wheter the gender ratio is female or male oriented or mix of both genders.
Describe the attributes of gentry sophisticated or not.
EXPERIENCE AT THE VENUE
write briefly about your visit experience at the venue.
ACCESSIBILITY
write whether the place is equipped with facilities of,parking lot, Vella parking, wheelchair entrance,etc.
VICINITY
area where the place is situated - large or small
SITTING AREAS
No. of sitting area a place have and the capacity of people that can be seated.
SUGGESTIONS
suggest people based on your experience whether the place is worth visiting or not.
PAYMENT METHODS
Describe the types of payments methods that are accepted at the place.
