In case of any apparent discrepancy, the incognito mode becomes useful to examine one’s profile, as that eliminates the routine exercise to clear cache, history, etc.
That‘s possible easily on a desktop.
However, the incognito mode in the app doesn’t help directly to know one’s public statistics.
Like so, to do that on the phone, one needs to perform the following steps.
In “Your Contributions”, click on the share symbol and copy the link to clipboard.
Now, open an incognito tab in the mobile browser.
Paste the content into the search box.
Delete everything preceding to the word “https://” & then hit enter.
Select the option to stay in the incognito mode.
Instantly, the web version of Maps will emerge in an incognito mode displaying the true count of reviews, photos and also the points.
Hi @C_T when I am opening link in incognito tab it appears as, showing points as 5051 but showing that no photo or review has been given by user. I am not able to take screenshot in incognito tab otherwise I will share.
You have locked your profile for any public viewing.
You may have done that to protect your privacy. However, that’s not much of use. Your reviews & photos are always visible at the POIs.
However, that lock is hurting you also as you can’t find out quickly, what is private.
Then, you have to visit each place & see whether your photos and reviews are visible are not. That would be a painful exercise.
But, if camouflage is not the intention, you can change that through Click on profile icon → Settings → Personal contents → Restricted profile & then click the toggle to make your profile public.
Once done, you will be able to view the count of reviews & photos others can see, through the incognito mode.
