I have already uploaded over 8 videos of 5 different places to google maps still my videos badge is not yet unlocked . Is that a bug or that video needs to be reviewed before? . But I can notice that my videos are public already and have got views too . @TravellerG @AmbrishVarshney @LucioV

Hi @VickyKrish , if you want to unlock, you must add lots of videos on each review.

@VickyKrish The Director badge is for video contributions. One thing to note that is badges count update slower than your contribution count. So, if it’s not showing even after you upload videos, know that there is a delay. The other possibility is that some of our contributions are made private because they may not comply with the Google Maps Contributed Content rules. So those contributions will not be taken into account for the badges.
I would suggest you to keep contributing high quality content, and some day in the near future, be surprised that your badge is earned with a high number of contributions.

@RonyGipsoin I noticed that the director badge will be unlock after uploading 3 videos of different places that’s what they have mentioned under that so I was just wondering why that isn’t unlocked for me yet

It just takes a while for them to show… mine took about 1 week for them to add.
They will add up and count towards your badge so keep on adding!!

I have gotten credit for 2 out of 4 videos, but 3 of them have been loaded for several months, and the fourth only for a few days. Does the number of views a video gets determine when we get credit toward the badge? The 3rd old video only has 4 views.

I would like to make you sure that you have uploaded videos of 3 different places and all those 3 videos are public i.e I mean to say that those videos are accepted by google and viewed by some people already.
If it is so soon you will be surprised to see the video director badge in your account to your surprise .
Usually it may take up to 10 days for the badge to appear after you have successfully uploaded 3 videos of different places that are public in google maps .
If you have got anymore doubts you can reachout our google moderator @StephenAbraham .

@BrittanyBee sorry to hear that you just keep on contributing more videos . Sometimes it can take more time for the numbers to get updated into the server. Once you see 3 videos in your contributions page it will take like another 10 days to receive the badge. That’s what happened in my case.
