How to take great interior shots of restaurants.

I used to think that my foodies Photos would be more popular but not so. The interior of restaurants are just as important, maybe more.

How do you take great interior shots?

1. First try and make sure there are no people in the photo. Nowadays with most countries privacy’s law it’s just not a good idea to take random photos of people with out their permission. They may not want their photo taken or may not want the world to know they were at that location at that time. If your are taking photos of your friends or relatives and they are OK with it, it’s OK but still, interior photos of restaurants with no one there are better.

2. How can I take photos of empty restaurants? I know this may be difficult especially if it’s a 24 hour restaurant, but trying getting there as it opens or just before lunch. Look for angles that show as many tables as you can or maybe some private tables or areas.

3. Take some unique angles or photos on wall, Be different.

4. Remember the people on google who look at Your reviews and photos are people who are deciding where to eat, if that restaurant has large tables or booths, or private, modern, rustic, fun, or whatever. Help them make that decision.

How do I know this works?

These 5 photos have over 700K Views combined and they are all featured as the primary photo of that establishment when searched.

Remember have fun taking photos and remember the world is looking at them.

A great post @TerryPG, and I can only agree with and confirm:

Comparing the 32 most viewed photos, I posted after 02/07 2024, 17 (marked red) restaurants (12) or outside (4), 3 beverages (green) and 1 food (green) pictures. 10 of the remaining are from a single tourist attraction, where I was lucky to make photos just a week after opening. Only one on rank 29 shows a historical site.
