I love to eat, and I love to share my meal experiences with others. However, food can sometimes be tricky to photograph.
Some things I like to keep in mind when photographing food:
-
Be conscious of the backdrop; dirty cutlery, clutter, and a distracting background can all detract from your photo.
-
Natural light makes for lovely photos- sitting next to a window in cafes and restaurants can be helpful!
-
Play with different layouts- sometimes the inclusion of a hand reaching for a glass can add a level of humanness to your photo.
-
Think about what you want to emphasize. Is it the toppings of a delicious burger? If so, photographing from the side will work better than from above.

Have fun!
