How to start a challenge on local guides connect

I would like to know about how to suggest the subjects for various challenges or how to connect with correct people to get started with the challenge.

I have a subject related to historical structures which are forgotten and want to bring them as a collective identity on map.

Please suggest me how to take this subject ahead.

I am from the Maharashtra state of India. In Maharashtra we have rich native history and it is greatly evident in the form of numerous different architectures and monuments.

Monuments includes various range of human habitation which includes Petroglyph from pre ancient human civilization, then the caves from the ancient civilization, then the temples from the very first period of modern history from mayn rulers who ruled the land in mediaeval times and then comes the early history from past 5-6 hundred years when the monuments like Forts , Castels and Palaces was flourished and it’s ruins still exist everywhere.

I want to do segregation of these places and want to bring the lost monuments which are known only locally by villagers and are not marked on the map.

If I start with Maharashtra, we can appoint a local guide as leader for each small zone or district and he’ll contribute for the new and unknown sites from their natives on map.

Ultimately we can use the same method for the remaining states of India to bring the hidden gems in front of the world.

Currently we can focus on the modern structures like Forts, Castles and Palaces and later can use this survey for the othe ancient structures.

I think you’re using the term challenge differently from What is normally understand here on Connect.

Please read the link I shared.

There are some strong limitations on what can be added to Google Maps.

If the relevant and precise category is not available the place should not be added to Google Maps.

You may want to see if Google My Maps will be a better tool to use for your project.
