Hi @JohnPeter

When you have to reduce the size of a photo, there is no way to avoid the reduction, in some way, also of the quality. This is not a big deal, as the photo is shown mostly on a smartphone, where the pixel density don’t give you the possibility to fully appreciate an high quality picture.

The only option is to embed a picture, instead to upload it. Uploading a photo on Connect? Read these guidelines first will help you.

For embedding photo, you can read in here the easy procedure: Tips for Uploading Images to Connect to Stay Within Limit

Hi @JohnPeter , I agree with @ErmesT … But there might be cases where you want to upload a picture by reducing the size to what is required.

Whenever I face this issue I do the following steps. You too can try if you have a windows PC.

Just go to its in-built ‘Paint’ app and select ‘Resize’ option as seen in the below picture and enter the pixel size you want and save it… thats it !

Enjoy !

Thanks dear @Globe_trotter_Ish for sharing this useful information. By the way if we reduce the pixels, will the clarity be maintained?

Thanks a lot

@JohnPeter The more the pixels the better the quality… However, there is a size restriction here because it reduces the storage space required as many LGs might be posting content so saving space is also necessary… hence we can use this as solution for better pics…

Hope this helps!

Hi @JohnPeter ,

As @ErmesT said, if you don’t want to reduce the quality of a photo, you can embed it this way: Tips for Uploading Images to Connect to Stay Within Limit. For other useful suggestions, you can see this article: Uploading a photo on Connect? Read these guidelines first.

Besides the option provided by @Globe_trotter_Ish , if you want to resize, edit and improve your photo, you can also follow this procedure: How to edit your photos using Snapseed.

I also wanted to inform you that I am marking my answer as a solution so it will be easier to find for other members having your very same question. Have a nice day!
