How to report fake business name?

Hello, I’ve found a fake business name with more than 90 symbols in it and I’ve tried to edit it and looks like it was shielded from edits: all were denied. What to do in this situation? The place is located in Russia, Moscow. Thanks for answers!

К большому сожалению, эта компания со спамным названием прошла регистрацию в сервисе Мой Бизнес. Поэтому любые попытки исправить название сразу отклоняются. Вы можете задать вопрос на профильном форуме https://www.ru.advertisercommunity.com/t5/Google-Moy-Biznes/ct-p/Google_My_Business однако, там нет сотрудников сервиса - только пользователи.

Wrong name: ЦВЕТНИКИ.РУ - Более 30000 товаров для сада и дома | Мульча, Кора, Щепа, Грунты, Удобрения, Семена

Right name: Цветники.Ру

According Guidelines for representing your business on Google, including unnecessary information in a business name is not permitted and could result in your listing being suspended.

The name must not include:

  • Fully capitalized words.
  • Marketing taglines.
  • Service or product information about your business.

@MashaPS , can you please help to escalate the issue to Spam Team?

Спасибо за развернутый ответ! Прошла регистрацию в сервисе Мой Бизнес - это то есть сразу зарегистрировалась с этим ужасным именем? На том форуме уже написал в теме, но пока еще без ответа :slight_smile:

We appreciate the pro-activity in this situation, but the best course of action here is for this to be raise directly on the Google My Business Community page. The Google My business experts will be able to better asses the situation and advise properly. Please note that getting a reply may take a little longer.

Already posted it there and no reaction! It so so hard to report or correct something on Google Maps nowdays…

I’m Google My business expert on Google My Business Community page. But I’m still a user only. I’m personally unable to correct the spam name.

Thanks for the info @SergeySud . As this business is using a name that is not appropriate it should definitely be reported on the Google My Business Community. I am afraid we as Local Guides are not able to do anything to amend this if the business is already claimed.

Hi, jumping in too as I’m facing a similar issue in Singapore. One of the beauty salons here has been repeatedly adding the marketing tagline “Best Facial Singapore” to their business listing name - I’ve edited it several times but the owner (I assume) has also been dutifully changing it back. Is there a long-term solution to this? (To be fair, I’ve been there before and the service is great - but I don’t think it’s right for them to sully the data, or to insert non-factual components.)
