How to report a fake reviewer

Good Morning - I am a small business owner in Sacramento, CA. I woke up this morning to a new one star rating posted for our business. I immediately looked up the customer in our database and could not find them. In doing more research on the reviewer so I could follow up with him about his experience, I found he posted 100’s of ratings this morning all over the country, but mostly in Sacramento. I stopped counting at 500 ratings posted today. It’s like he googled various types of businesses and negatively (in most cases) rated several businesses in each category.

It seems odd to respond to someone like this that clearly did not use our business. We already have one negative review from a customer we did not do business with so it’s getting worrisome that another fake review like this could affect our overall rating. This really hurts a small business.

I know the reviewer’s name and there’s a picture in his profile, but I can’t find a way to post a link to his account. Can some one please give advice on how to remove this rating?

Thank you.

Hi @user_not_found

Thanks for asking. This forum is for the volunteer local guides while business owners have their own help pages and forum.

Here are the help pages and you find the forum here.

The interests as a business owner and a local guide should not be mixed since there can be conflicts of interest. So please delete your account here on Connect should your primary interests be your business.

Cheers
