However, when I click the notification to see and answer the question, maps don’t show me the question. When I click the notification it starts the google maps but stops only showing the map at my current location. I was not taken to the question presented.
I have observed this behavior earlier but it was not always. Some times I was taken to the question and I have provided answers to the question. But recently issue always occurs. I might be losing the opportunity to help someone with the information that I know because of the issue.
Have any others has faced this issue? if yes please add your issue experience here. If there is a specific way for us to report this buggy behavior please let me know.
@ErmesT , Many thanks for the quick feed back. Yes I get what you say, however I have faced the issue in places where data connection is pretty strong. So data connection may not be the main cause for this issue. for an e.g. the place in the screenshot has very good reception and data connection.
While the workaround you have suggested could work it is pretty annoying to search again for the listing. Have to do all that to find the question when you should be directly taken to the question. I think this shoud be a issue that need to be fixed sooner or later.
I can assit analysing the issue by recreating the it and providing any log information from my mobile when it is recreated. I’ll work wit the workaround for now.
I would like to advise that you update your maps application to the latest possible version. Maybe cleaning the cache and cookies and maps history might also help.
Also I would like to advise to send feedback the next time you notice this occurring by following the steps here.
