How to Remove @ ?

Hy!!

Everyone.

We are local guides, and we often post many times on LG connect.

We use @ for tagging.

Sometimes, it difficult to remove.

There are more platforms and that the behavior of the tagging tool depends on also what keyboard software is used on android. (By mortenCopenhagen).

@ is one and only and The most useful tool for tagging.

Before I start this let’s look for Precautions:

  • Before you tag other local guide, must remember his proper username.
  • Write @ + 2 Characters then you see many LGs profile. Click your LGs profile that you want.
  • Sometimes many Similar names LG Profiles appear, so at this time you become more careful and write all characters one by one and Lastly you find your needed LG.
  • When you type @ , then must write some characters, if you take some time, so it’s not working. So you need to speed your fast.
  • Sometimes when you publish your comment, it appear as correct highlighted error. Don’t worry, click again on Publish.
  • Don’t Overtagging or unnecessary tagging.
  • Don’t Overtag connect moderators and Google moderators…
  • We only tag 10 LGs in One post and one comment.

Now, Methods to Remove @.

  • It’s different in Android and desktop. So it’s not same in both, that I clarify.
  • In desktop Cover your area with cursor and Click on Cut.so it’s remove.
  • In Android if you try to delete @ then another @ appear.
  • At this time you need move your cursor exact after @ [@|] and then click delete. Make sure no distance between @ & your cursor.
  • If you want to tag another local guide with changing past tagged local guide, so first move cursor exact after to @, [ @| ] then delete. And now@ remove and you delete username of past tagged local guide. And create new one with @.

Above method I applied many times in my Android and also got Success. [GBoard]

And I also suggest to if possible less use this tool. (To avoid Overtagging).

@KishorMali Thank alot friend.

@KishorMali

You seem to forget the fact that there are more platforms and that the behavior of the tagging tool depends on also what keyboard software is used on android. Please specify your platform and keyboard software when making posts like these. Also, why did you start a new thread instead of contributing to the current one?

@KishorMali Thank you for flagging it. I have been wanting to bring this issue but haven’t made it yet. Tagging is not very convenient now. I hope the team will fix it soon.
