This is my favorite thing to get at Starbucks, beyond all the drinks! But it’s about five dollars for the sandwich, and I figured out how to get a good replica at home
I use an air fryer, but I’m sure a panini press will do nicely
Ingredients
Tomato
Mozzarella
Pesto
Spinach
A Telera roll
Olive oil
Your favorite Italian herb! (I used rosemary from my garden)
Step one- Telera rolls are only found frozen at my grocery store, so first I defrost it and then cut it in half. Place the top half of the roll with the flat side down, we’re cooking the sandwich open-faced
Step two- Grind (or tear) your herbs and set them aside. Pour your preferred oil (olive, avocado, etc.) into a little bowl and brush it on the top half of the roll and the inside of it. Sprinkle your rosemary on top of the roll. If you have extra oil, you can brush it on the inside of the other half.
Three- Smear pesto on one inner face of the roll, and then cut thin slices of tomato and place them on top of the pesto. It would be best if you didn’t use whole slices, it’s best thin and without the rind.
Four- Pick the stems off of your spinach and lie the leaves down on top of the tomatoes. Slice thin uneven pieces of mozzarella (I find it tastiest if the cheese is homemade) and place it on top of that.
Five- Put your air-fryer on Air Crisp and preheat it to 350 degrees. Place the open faced sandwich in for five minutes, checking every once and a while to see if the cheese has melted. It’s done once the mozzarella is done.
Six- enjoy your sandwich!!
