How to manage your Local Guides account

Have you ever visited your Local Guides home? You can see your points breakdown by contribution type, see what milestones you have coming up, and redeem available benefits. You can also manage your program email preferences, change your city, find links to Local Guides social media channels, read tips for Local Guides, and see our meet-up calendar.

If you run into an issue with the Local Guides homepage, you can send feedback directly through the site. Here’s how to share your feedback:

  • From a web or mobile browser, visit https://maps.google.com/localguides/home
  • Click the menu icon
  • Select “Send Feedback”
  • Explain the issue you are having or detail your experience (click “include screenshot” to attach it with your feedback)
  • Submit your feedback

Please use this feature to share issues and feedback about your Local Guides home only. Your Feedback & Feature Requests about the Local Guides program are welcome here on Connect and you can always share feedback about Google Maps directly in the app itself.

Different boards or even for each article, the comment settings can be different. And even depends if there are further replies to your post.

The best is to check on the “3 dots” menu on the top right corner of the post. You can find if you can delete/edit your own comment/reply from there.

Today, I successfully send my 1st feedback via the new channel:

"Thank you very much for adding this new feedback channel.

I hope the LG homepage will further develop towards as the ultimate profile management site for all LG related services.

May I include one suggestion for this feedback channel? Can you accept reports when we failed to keep connected via our various social channels? Such as site is not loading, etc."

The feedback feature is dedicated for Local Guides home related feedback/comments only for now.

For other feedback, you can post it here in Connect under “Feedback & Feature Request” board so we can track it properly.

Also, I am wondering on your example. Can you elaborate more on “keep failing to connect via our various social media channels”? Can I check if it pertains to Connect?

We send feedback about Connect at Connect.

But when I cannot access Connect, then I cannot report that via Connect.

Thus during rare occasions, we might need another channel of reporting.
