How To Make Poisonous Dried Snake 🍵 Tea

How To Make Poisonous Dried Snake :tea: Tea

On your next visit to Japan try poisonous :skull_and_crossbones: snake tea!

There are many shared traditions here amongst the locals and their neighbors. One is snake! Albiet is not a particularly popular delicacy, is still enjoyed by the elderly and longevity lifers. Insects, too, are another shared cultural delicacy between the two nations.

I finally found the recipe here!

Extremely rare to find and expensive unless you visit Chinatown at an herbal medicine pharmacy called Kosei in Motomachi Chukagai

This tea drink is popular in many parts of Asia, especially in China and Japan. According to the locals, this tea is supposed to give you stamina and strength. One dried snake sells for about $113.00 USD and they pulverize it there in the pharmacy according to the pharmacist, then make tea out of it.

Wow talking about exotic drinks! The locals got a point though, people generally do live long healthy lives in most asian countries, maybe this is part of their secret?

Did you try it @user_not_found ?

Thanks for sharing!

Hi @kroza

I tried this a long time ago, so I was surprised to see it here in Japan. When I was visiting China I tried roasted caterpillars, too. No thanks…haha… The locals will most likely outlive me. What’s the most exotic stuff you ever tried?

Teas are healthy.
