Everyone will know how to link to a post but someone recently asked me how to link to a specific comment within a post! Using an example, this How-to explains how to do this. In this example I will link to a comment written by @Erik_van_den_Ham that explains how to take a screenshot of your “star photo” on gMaps. Erik’s comment is buried deep in my Leaderboards of the Most Viewed Photos post. Ok here are the steps to link to that specific comment:
- We locate the comment that we wish to link to.
- Click the menu icon on that comment (3 horizontal dots).
- Right click on the Permalink menu item and select Copy link address.
- Use the copied permalink as the link in your comment so in this instance I wish to link to Erik’s explanation on how to take a screenshot of your “star photo” on gMaps. So just highlight the text that you wish to use as the link text and add the permalink. Simple!
